Ultrasonic metal melt processing system consists of two parts: ultrasonic vibration component and ultrasonic generator. Ultrasonic vibration components are used to generate ultrasonic vibrations. They mainly include ultrasonic transducers, ultrasonic horns, and tool heads (emission heads). Vibration energy is emitted into the metal melt.
The transducer converts the input electrical energy into mechanical energy, ie ultrasonic waves. The manifestation is that the transducer moves back and forth in the longitudinal direction with an amplitude of typically several micrometers. This kind of amplitude power density is not enough and cannot be used directly. Ultrasonic horns need to amplify the amplitude according to the design, isolate the metal melt and heat energy transmission, and also play the role of fixing the entire ultrasonic vibration system. The tool head is connected to the horn and the horn transfers the ultrasonic energy vibration to the tool head. The tool head then transmits the ultrasonic energy into the metal melt.
