Spot Welding With Ultrasonics

Ultrasonic spot welding will dominate in the future. For example, flat molds without weld beveling must pass this weld (semi-finished, thermoformed, blown film, large flat parts, etc.).

The welding head passes from the upper part to the lower part, and the heat energy generated after contacting the surface of the mold plasticizes and welds the material. The extruded plastic flows upward and forms an annular projection.

The mold can be secured by a suitable clamp or clamping device. The thickness of the horn should not exceed 8 mm. Spot welding can also be achieved with a movable ultrasonic manual welding device (hand torch).
