In ultrasonic welding, air pressure transmits ultrasonic vibration to the weldment through the acoustic pole. Different materials determine the size of the pressure required in welding. Choosing a suitable gas pressure has a very important impact on the welding results. The following edition will lead you to understand the impact of gas pressure on ultrasonic welding.

If the air pressure is too low, the ultrasonic vibration can not be transmitted to the welded parts well, resulting in insufficient friction between the welded parts and the welded surface, and a large part of the energy will be lost on the sliding surface, resulting in the failure to form effective welding.

If the pressure is too high, the energy of vibration will be unreasonably used, and the friction force is too large, the friction motion between the weldments will be weakened, and even the amplitude will be affected. As a result, the area of connection between the weldments will not increase but decrease, and the strength of the welds will also decrease.

Therefore, in the actual use of ultrasonic welding machine, it is recommended that we choose the pressure value according to the material of the product.
